Retail Associate 

Do you love all things equestrian? We are looking for an enthusiastic and self motivated individual to join our team! Here at the Carrington Shoppe we pride ourselves on our customer service and exciting product selection, all while having fun! We are currently looking for a part time employee who can work 1 weekday from 12-5pm at our Southlands location. We offer a great staff discount and a competitive starting wage with opportunity for advancement. 

What we are looking for in a Team Member:
  • Has an upbeat and outgoing personality to communicate with customers in a welcoming and friendly manner
  • Is task orientated and can take direction while working independently
  • Drives sales through engagement of customers and product sharing knowledge
  • Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise
  • Works quickly and efficiently
  • Keeps clientele informed by replying to inquiries by phone on product availability or special orders
  • Keen to learn about new products and tack equipment 
  • Ability to adhere to Covid-19 safety requirements for retail and inform customers of the safety requirements to enter and shop within the store.
Skills and Education Required:
  • Has a solid base of equestrian knowledge in hunter/jumper and dressage, with a focus on the hunter jumper discipline. 
  • Actively participating in the equestrian sport
  • Proficient working on a computer & IPad, comfortable learning an e-commerce software to ring in sales, update inventory & customer records and print product labels.
  • Comfortable speaking on the phone with clientele and service reps.
  • Can pack and prepare online sales for shipment.
  • Able to perform cleaning tasks.
  • High school or GED 
  • Experience working in a customer service setting for 2 or more years.
